HOW TO BOOK AN
TO BOOK PLEASE GET IN TOUCH USING THE CONTACT DETAILS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
For horses, appointments take 1-1.5 hours done as a yard visit. For dogs, the first appointment takes 45-60 minutes and follow ups are 30-45 minutes based at Crossways Veterinary Group, Findon. Home visits are also available where appropriate. Before the appointment I will contact your vets for any relevant medical history. During the session we will discuss the needs of your animal and the goals for physiotherapy, I will carry out a thorough postural and dynamic assessment with full palpation of your animal followed by treatment of the targeted areas.
Between sessions I may give you a full rehabilitation programme or just a couple of exercises that will complement the treatment depending on the patients needs. I offer management advice if necessary to improve your animals welfare and follow up support for free. After each session I will send a physiotherapy report to your veterinary surgeon.
All animal physiotherapy will be undertaken only with veterinary referral or consent as is the law (Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and and The Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015). Please refer to News for more information of Physiotherapy and the Law. Upon booking I will need your full name, your animals name and veterinary practice, without this I will not be able to treat your animal.
If you wish to claim for physiotherapy through your insurance for a condition that has been treated by your veterinarian, you will need to complete the form by clicking here and send it to your practice. Until the form is signed and dated most insurance companies won’t cover the physiotherapy treatment under the policy. Please check your policy documents for details as each company works differently.
