dog laser therapy

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is an integral part of physiotherapy treatment and is used in most of cases. It is highly effective at reducing inflammation which gives it a wide range of applications including arthritis, soft tissue injuries and joint/spinal conditions.

In order for healing to happen inflammation must be treated so the following stages of recovery can ensue. For instance, if a joint remains hot and painful the animal will not use the limb and muscle gain and range of motion won’t be restored. If the joint or tissue is free from pain then the animal will more freely use their affected body part.

For more information or to discuss laser therapy please contact Katherine using the contact form or details at the bottom of the page.

Whether you visit KB Vet Physio for a one-off treatment or a longer course of action, owners are encouraged to take an active role in their animal's recovery so they can remain pain-free once treatment ends. Between sessions you may be given you a full rehabilitation programme or just a couple of exercises that will complement the physical therapy received in the sessions depending on the patients needs. After each session, a report will be sent to you and your veterinary surgeon.
